"Objects in mirror are closer than they appear." There is a subtext to life that remains true, even if it is ignored; behaviors have results, even if we as individuals or as a society choose not to acknowledge them. Instances in my life experiences have felt shocking and overwhelming: the discovery of a cheating boyfriend, the horror witnessed on September 11th. Through these experiences, I have a greater desire to become responsibly cognizant of my own behavior as well as the developing occurrences of our society. It is a desire for unemotional, unbiased truth, for personal, social, and political awareness.
